Laura Birk, MA, is an Associate Consultant of Cejka Executive Search, a nationally recognized health care executive and physician search firm providing services exclusively to the health care industry for more than 30 years.

With more than 20 years in health care leadership roles, including the acute care setting within academic medical centers, Laura brings a deep understanding of the dynamics of the health care industry. Laura routinely led performance improvement initiatives to enhance management of the revenue cycle and improve patient satisfaction. She has extensive experience with medical staff peer review committees, managed care health plan relationships, third party payer reimbursement and regulatory compliance.

Prior to joining Cejka Executive Search in 2004, Laura worked at St. John’s Mercy Medical Center and St. Louis Children’s Hospital. She was an adjunct faculty member of the University of Phoenix as an instructor in the graduate and undergraduate management schools.

Laura earned a Master of Arts in Management from Fontbonne University and a Bachelor of Arts from Webster University in St. Louis.
